The Scottish Deaf F.A. is looking for an energetic individual to become our National Deaf Men Futsal Manager to lead Scotland deaf men national team to European Deaf Men Futsal Championships Qualifying Group and hopefully to the main competition in Italy. Scotland have been drawn alongside with Spain and Bulgaria.

The job holder will be responsible assisting/leading for delivering, monitoring and evaluating eligible players at the highest level possible.
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring delivery of the Scottish Deaf F.A.’s philosophy are sustainable.

Job Summary
Key Skills and Experience Required:Â ESSENTIAL
To hold Level 1.1 Introduction to Coaching
Have a strong understanding of deaf awareness and deaf culture
Some awareness of British Sign Language
Have an understanding of Safeguarding issues
Have the ability to assist in supervising and managing a group of people.
Key Skills and Experience Required:Â DESIRABLE
Level 1.2 Futsal Coaching Certificate
Level 1.3 Futsal Coaching Award
Fluent in British Sign Language
To hold a current Safeguarding and protecting children certificate
Emergency First Aid Certificate
Experience of coaching within a professional football/futsal club environment
BFAS First Aid Qualification
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
To recruit a coaching team to take the National team to European Deaf Futsal Championships both in Qualifying Group and the main competition (in 2022).
Other such duties that are reasonably directed by the President from time to time.
Take part in all available in service CPD opportunities to gain further knowledge and increase the high standards of delivery.
Major Objectives
To continue to gain knowledge and help develop the working of the deaf football/futsal.
To develop relations with all parties within the Scottish football/futsal to support the Scottish Deaf F.A.’s philosophy.
Specific Responsibilities
To assist in the delivery high quality football sessions to eligible players.
To provide a supporting role at a range of events and competitions as required.
To adopt a flexible approach to ensure all sessions are innovate and provide each individual player with the opportunity to develop.
Implement the Scottish Deaf F.A. administrative procedures and safeguarding policies.
To be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented, and recorded as required.
Attend any relevant training requirements for example, first aid, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
