The Scottish Deaf F.A. is pleased to launch its new website! Established in 1889, the SDFA has a rich history of D/deaf football and recently-started futsal, which details of its history will be developed and shared over the coming months and years to celebrate Scottish football for D/deaf people.
Additionally, the SDFA are D/deaf-led organisation providing activities for both sport (Futsal and Football), both on domestic and international levels for deaf players. The SDFA also strive to provide information on deafness, and resources for local clubs/teams across the country to cater for D/deaf players of all ages.
The SDFA President, Gordon Hay commented, “It is now the time to celebrate our sport and educate people to encourage more participation from D/deaf players all over Scotland. We strive to find more young stars who could join our long list of pioneers within D/deaf Football and enable our rising stars to flourish on the world stage.”
