The SDFA are pleased to confirm that we have registered our interest in participating the upcoming European Deaf U21 Football Championships in Antalya, Turkey in August 2022.
Our National Team Manager, George McGowan are busy preparing a new coaching team to search for finest players in Scotland to join series of trails and trainings. Details will be announced in due course.
Due to latest pandemic, the upcoming Championships will include up to 5 players aged between 21 and 23 to ensure that those do not lose out since the last Championship in Germany has been cancelled.
SDFA President, Gordon Hay, comments “It is a new era with the organisation seeking for new and finest players from corners of our beloved country and build the National Squad of all ages, starting with the upcoming U21 competition to give our players opportunity to meet peers across the Europe, build self esteem and confidence, eventually will hopefully lead to better and bigger things as per our 5-year strategy.”
